Oraimo currently sells two rechargeable standing fans in Nigeria, the PowerTurbo at ₦103,900 and the AirCruze at ₦145,900 on its official Nigerian store, and the ₦42,000 gap between them buys you a very different kind of Oraimo rechargeable fan. The PowerTurbo is a folding, USB-C fan you can carry from room to room, while the AirCruze is a proper 14-inch pedestal fan with an 11.1V battery, a remote and four-way oscillation.

Both run on battery when the power goes off, which is the whole reason most people in Nigeria shop for one. The right pick depends less on which is “better” and more on how long your outages last, how you plan to recharge, and whether you need the fan to cool a whole room or just the space around you. The comparison below uses Oraimo’s own published specifications, and it’s worth reading the runtime claims carefully because they’re quoted at the lowest speed.

Read the Oraimo rechargeable fan runtime claims before you compare hours

The headline numbers, 22 hours for the PowerTurbo and 32 hours for the AirCruze, describe each fan running gently at its lowest setting. Oraimo is more specific on the PowerTurbo’s product page, where it lists a working time of 2 to 7 hours and about 3 hours of strong airflow. That’s the figure to plan around if you sleep with the fan on a medium or high setting during the hottest months.

The AirCruze’s battery is listed at 11.1V and 4400mAh, which works out to roughly 49Wh of stored energy. Its rated power is 35W, so if you ran it flat out, simple maths says the battery would last somewhere around an hour and a half, while lower speeds stretch it towards the long figure Oraimo quotes. Oraimo doesn’t publish the voltage of the PowerTurbo’s 4000mAh battery, so you can’t compare the two packs fairly by mAh alone. Don’t read 4400mAh against 4000mAh as a small 10% difference, because without the PowerTurbo’s voltage those two numbers don’t tell you how much more energy the AirCruze actually stores. Our guide on how to tell if a power bank holds what it claims explains why mAh without voltage can mislead you.

How you’ll recharge it matters more than you think

The PowerTurbo charges over USB-C and accepts 5V, 9V and 12V inputs, so a decent fast charger can top it up, and so can many USB-C power banks and portable power stations. If your area gets short bursts of light, that flexibility helps, because you can recharge from whatever is working at the time. Check the wattage of the charger you plan to use against those inputs, and our guide to charger watts and spotting fakes covers what to look for.

The AirCruze uses its own mains adapter rated at 14V and 2.5A, which means you’ll charge it from grid power, a generator, an inverter or an AC outlet on a power station. That’s fine for most homes, but it’s less convenient if your plan was to keep the fan running off a power bank. If you’re thinking of pairing either fan with a bigger backup system, our portable power station sizing guide walks you through matching capacity to what you actually run.

Room size decides whether the AirCruze is worth ₦42,000 more

A 14-inch pedestal fan with four-way oscillation is built to move air around a bedroom or a small sitting room, and the remote means you can change speed or set the timer without getting up. If two or three people share the room, or you want the fan to sweep across a bed rather than point at one spot, the AirCruze is the one that does that job properly.

The PowerTurbo is a personal fan first. It folds down to 150mm tall, weighs 2.1kg and has a small warm light in its base, so it suits a student hostel, a shop counter, a home office desk or anyone who moves between rooms through the day. It won’t cool a big space as well as the AirCruze, but it’s easier to carry, easier to store, and easier to recharge.

Protect your warranty from the day you pay

Oraimo gives fans a one-year warranty in Nigeria, but it only covers original products bought from Oraimo or its authorised resellers, and you’ll need your receipt. Free items bundled with a purchase aren’t covered, so a giveaway fan won’t get the same protection.

Which Oraimo fan should you buy?

If you live alone, move around a lot, or depend on power banks and short spells of electricity to recharge your gadgets, the PowerTurbo makes more sense and saves you ₦42,000. If you want one fan to cool a shared bedroom through the night with a remote and proper oscillation, and you can charge from mains, a generator or an inverter, the AirCruze is the better buy. This verdict is based on Oraimo’s published specifications and current prices rather than hands-on testing.

PowerTurbo or AirCruze?

Buy it if

  • Buy the PowerTurbo if you want a portable personal fan that charges over USB-C
  • Buy the AirCruze if you need to cool a bedroom or small sitting room with oscillation and a remote

Skip it if

  • Skip the PowerTurbo if you want strong airflow for a whole night on one charge
  • Skip the AirCruze if you planned to recharge it from a power bank

The PowerTurbo is the flexible, cheaper personal fan, while the AirCruze is the room fan with oscillation, a remote and a longer quoted runtime to justify its higher price.
