Oraimo’s Nigerian store lists the Oraimo LumaSweep robot vacuum (ORV-501A) at ₦159,900 among its new arrivals, as of November 1, 2026. On paper it brings LiDAR navigation, up to 5kPa of suction and a 2600mAh battery that Oraimo rates for up to 100 minutes of cleaning, all controlled from the oraimo home app.

That’s a lot of money for something most people have never owned, so the useful questions are practical ones. Will it fit under your furniture, will it cover your floor on one charge, and what does the product page leave out? Oraimo answers some of those clearly and stays silent on others, including whether it mops, and you should know which is which before you pay.

Nine centimetres decides whether it can clean under your bed

Oraimo gives the LumaSweep’s size as 312 x 312 x 90mm, and on a round robot like this the 90mm figure is its height. Before you buy, measure the gap under your bed, sofa and cabinets, because anywhere lower than about 9cm is a place it won’t reach, and those are the spots where dust collects most. If most of your furniture sits flat on the floor, a large share of the robot’s value disappears.

The LiDAR sensor is the feature that separates it from cheaper robots that bump around a room at random. Oraimo says it maps your home and supports multi-room cleaning from the app, so it should work through rooms in an order rather than criss-crossing the same spot. Oraimo doesn’t list the height of threshold it can climb, though, so if your rooms are separated by raised door frames or tile steps, expect to carry it over them.

A 520mL dust box will earn its keep in harmattan

The dust box holds 520mL, and the box contents include two HEPA filters, two side brushes and a cleaning tool, so you have spares from the start. The dry season brings fine dust into homes, as we covered in our look at NiMet’s hotter, dustier forecast, and a robot that runs every day will fill its box faster during those months. Empty it after each run and keep the filter clean so dust doesn’t build up inside the robot.

Oraimo rates the battery at up to 100 minutes, which is the best case. The carpet boost raises suction automatically on rugs, and higher suction drains a battery faster, so a home with several rugs will see less than the full figure. The product page doesn’t state how long a full recharge takes, and the robot can only top up while its charging base has power, so on days with long outages, plan its cleaning for the hours when there’s light.

Mopping, warranty and charging time aren’t on the product page

Oraimo’s listing describes the LumaSweep only as a vacuum. It doesn’t mention a water tank or mopping pad, and neither appears in the list of box contents, so don’t buy it expecting it to wipe your tiles. The page also leaves out the warranty period, linking instead to Oraimo’s general warranty page, and it doesn’t mention voice assistant support. Ask about the warranty before you order if after-sales support matters to you, which it should on a ₦159,900 purchase.

Should you buy the Oraimo LumaSweep?

Buy it if

  • Your floors are mostly tiled or flat, with few raised thresholds between rooms
  • Your bed and sofa sit at least 9cm off the floor
  • You want daily dust control in the dry season without sweeping yourself

Skip it if

  • You want a robot that also mops
  • Your furniture sits low or flat on the floor
  • You need a confirmed warranty period before spending ₦159,900

A promising robot vacuum with LiDAR mapping and a large dust box, best for flat, tiled homes with raised furniture. Confirm the warranty and measure your furniture before you order.

Grab a tape measure before anything else. If the gaps under your furniture clear 9cm and you can live without mopping, the LumaSweep takes on the daily dust that harmattan brings, and if they don’t, you’d be paying ₦159,900 for a robot that cleans only the open parts of your floor.
